"We, Mind, Life and Success" -By Lavarnya
Hi Everyone! Welcome back again to my blog. I was thinking what to write next, and after a while I came that I should pick a topic and write about it in detail. So the topic I have chosen is... 'PSYCHOLOGY'. It is like an essay. Hope you would love reading it.
We, Mind, Life and Success
As we know, there are many complex thoughts, emotions and feelings which make us feel totally caged in situation. For example: Some people are free when alone, but shy in crowd. Even sometimes we know that what is good for us but we feel powerless to pursue them. Such problems dragged my attention & I started to seek the reason behind. I came across many hocus-pocus words such as ‘Astrologers’, hearing from elderly people, non-standard approaches and a thriller word 'PSYCHOLOGY'.
Psychology is something which helps us to understand people’s mind and help them with their dilemma.
Psychology is a broad and diverse field that encompasses the study of human thought, behaviour, development, personality, emotion, motivation, and more. It is the scientific study of how people behave, imagine and feel. Psychologists study everything about the human experience from the basic workings of the human brain to consciousness, memory, reasoning and language to personality and mental health. For example: Helping athletes sharpen their motivation and mental focus.
In India, people think that it is a sin to visit a psychologist. But in reality, Psychological assistance can make our life more stress free and successful. I would love to see that the people in India visit a psychologist frequently as visiting an astrologer.
Types of Psychology:
1) Psychodynamic Perspective: Encompasses a number of theories that explain both normal and pathological personality development in terms of the dynamics of mind.
2) Behavioural Perspective: Concerned with how environmental factors affect observable behaviour.
5) Cross-Cultural Perspective- Branch of psychology that looks at how cultural factors influence human behaviour.
6) Evolutionary Perspective- Personality and individual differences have evolves, in part, to provide us with some form of adaptive advantage in the context of survival and reproduction.
7) Humanistic Perspective- Emphasizes looking at the whole individual & stresses concepts such as free ill, self-efficacy and self-actualization.
Captivating Facts:
1) The smarter the person is, the quicker he thinks, and the sloppier his handwriting is.
2) The happier we are, the less sleep we require.
3) We aren't as good at multitasking as we think we are.
4) When one rule seems strict, we want to break more.
5) Fear is an actually good feeling if you aren't really in danger.
6) Doing things that scare you will make you happier.
7) Men aren't funnier than women.
